Art therapy

Last updated 17/06/2009

Art therapy is a way of using art to communicate, and it is a recognised method of treating conditions such as depression, anxiety, grief or trauma. It is also used to help those living with conditions such as cancer.

Usually, an art therapist will have been trained as an artist, but will have also trained in psychotherapy. The details here will help you get information about recognised sources of help in this field.
