Mid & West Wales - Prism

Prism is a project which offers help and advice in Mid and West Wales to those who have problems related to their own or someone else’s use of alcohol or drugs. They have services across Carmarthenshire, Pembrokeshire and Ceredigion.

Free confidential help and advice for anyone in Wales wanting further information and help relating to drugs and alcohol. Bilingual service.

Talk to Frank

Though taking drugs is illegal, talking about them isn't. Good advice given about any drug through Talk to Frank, by e-mail or by ringing the confidential helpline. Lots of information on the site itself, including details of local groups that can help if you're worried.

Adfam

For families affected by drugs and alcohol Adfam is a leading agency in substance related family work. They provide a range of resources for families including local support groups that can help.

Families Anonymous

Families Anonymous offer telephone and other support services for families and friends of drug users. They have 50 groups throughout Britain, including three in Wales.

Release

Release offers a helpline for drug users, their families, friends and professionals. Advice and counselling on a range of drug related subjects, including health, welfare and legal issues. They run outreach work at clubs and produce educational materials.

Addaction

Addaction is one of the UK's largest specialist drug and alcohol treatment agencies, and they can offer help and advice to anyone affected by drug or alcohol misuse (or both), including those who are dependent, their families, friends or carers.

South Wales Valleys - Drugaid

Drug and alcohol services across the South Wales Valleys, including Merthyr Tydfil and Caerphilly.

Neath Port talbot - WGCADA

The West Glamorgan Council on Alcohol and Drug Abuse offer services to help those with drug or alcohol problems in Swansea, Bridgend and Neath Port Talbot. More details of all their services across this area on the website.

North Wales - Cais

An agency in North Wales which aims to make positive changes in the lives of those affected by drugs and alcohol.

Cardiff & Vale of Glamorgan - Inroads

Inroads offers free and confidential service, offering advice, information and support to anyone whose lives have been affected by their own or someone else's drug use.

TheSite.org

TheSite.org is a well established website and online community which covers many topics of interest from advice on sex and relationships, drugs and alcohol and help with unplanned pregnancy or if you parents are splitting up. Advice also if you've lost someone close. It's full of stories, message boards and comments and advice on everything. Appropriate helpline referrals for each topic are given throughout.

NHS Direct Wales

NHS Direct Wales is a 24 hour helpline, which can give advice about health and health services across Wales. It is staffed by experienced nurses specially trained to give advice over the phone and provide information about all your local services.
