Being bullied can be a very unpleasant experience, and can happen in several different ways, but there are many places you can go to get support if this is happening to you. The information here is to help if you're a child or a young person who thinks they are being bullied, or if you're a parent or carer:
Parentline Plus is a 24 hour helpline staffed by parents for anyone in a parenting role including step-parents, grandparents, lone parents and adoptive parents. They offer support and information on all issues of concern including bullying, behaviour, sexual abuse, education, alcohol and drugs.
YoungMinds is a helpline providing information and advice to anyone with concerns about the mental health or emotional well-being of a child or young person, which can be affected severely by bullying. They give information about a range of mental health issues and details of local and national advice services.
EACHaction offers extensive help to those affected by homophobic bullying, and you can phone them or find out more at their website.
The Advisory Centre for Education (ACE) is an independent advice centre for parents, offering information about state education in Wales and England for 5-16 year olds. They offer advice on many topics like exclusion from school, bullying, special educational needs and school admission appeals. They offer a comprehensive leaflet called "Tackling Bullying" which can be downloaded as a pdf file.
Bullies Out is a Wales-based charity which gives very comprehensive information about bullying for children and adults, and has an online support forum.
Bullying UK gives advice and information on bullying. Very comprehensive information provided on all aspects from school strategies to individual help.
Though Childline Cymru is a helpline service exclusively for children, there are involved in a scheme called 'CHIPS' (Childline In Partnership with Schools) which runs bullying workshops for schools. Childline is part of NSPCC Cymru, and you can get more information about not only this scheme but other sources of help if you're concerned about bullying, either by phoning the helpline in Wales or by going to the website.
Kidscape have an anti-bullying helpline for parents/carers and concerned adults who need advice on how to help children cope with bullying. The website, which is also for young people, gives practical advice on bullying and keeping safe.

FFLAG offers local support and contacts to help parents and families understand, accept and support their lesbian, gay and bisexual members. They also work with anti-homophobic bullying projects and community safety projects.
