If you or anybody close has poor kidney health, then the information here could be of some help and support.

Kidney problems can occur at any age, though there are more risks as you get older. There are renal units specialising in kidney health to be found throughout Wales.

    Kidney Wales Foundation

    A Wales-based charity offering patient support for those living with kidney disease, and which fundraises for services in Wales.

    Welsh Kidney Patients Association

    The association supports all those kidney patients undergoing dialysis throughout Wales, through support groups, a regular newsletter and a befriending scheme.

    National Kidney Federation

    Information service there to help kidney patients and their families or carers. They offer a helpline and information on all aspects of kidney health either through leaflets or on their website.

    NHS Direct Wales

    NHS Direct Wales is a 24 hour helpline, which can give advice about health and health services across Wales. It is staffed by experienced nurses specially trained to give advice over the phone and provide information about all your local services.

    Kidney Research UK

    A charity which raises money for research into kidney disease and also provides help and support to those who are living with kidney problems.
