'Each to their own' the saying goes. Something that makes one person smile can cause another to despair - and this will be the subject of a bold new series on S4C.
In the new six-part series Perffaith Hapus (Perfectly Happy), which starts on Wednesday, 13 June, Lisa Angharad - presenter of comedy series Ddoe am Ddeg - investigates the things that make us happy, and asks why they have that effect.
From the perfect body to hunger for fame and a desire for wealth, Lisa tries to get to the root of why we want these things, and if they really make us happy.
The first topic under investigation is The Perfect Body. Lisa will meet people who work hard to achieve their idea of the perfect body - whether through surgery or in the gym. Among them are a group of bodybuilders from Caernarfon.
"Meeting the bodybuilders was quite intense. I was shocked to see how serious they took the competitions and the diet they follow to get the body they want," says Lisa, who believes the series will give us an idea why people do things that seem ridiculous to us.
"At one point they would eat twelve eggs for breakfast, and eat fish every half hour! Then in the period leading up to the competition they would not drink anything for a long time."
For another programme in the series that looks at weight loss, Lisa will follow two popular diet plans to measure the effects.
"At the moment I'm on a diet where I'm not allowed to eat carbohydrates or vegetables; the only thing I'm really allowed to eat is chicken, ham and eggs.
"I will also be trying a diet which is basically nothing but shake drinks. I'm not looking forward to it at all!"
Other subjects in the series are the perfect partner, fame and wealth and in the final episode Lisa will set about organising the Perfect Party - by looking at drinking, sex and drugs.
