This was an interesting video report. Although I do not speak or understand the spoken language of Wales the general direction of the video was understood varying view points of the Youth Workers – valid though I feel that the problems faced by youth and families in society today are simply the same old issues that had been debated during the 19th Century but with technological and scientific development those old issues of delinquency and deprevation are simply re-packaged and rolled out as if they are concerns that are novel when in fact those issue have moved with the times. Additionally rights based groups have brought into the open the issues of corporate responsibility – from the banking sector to multinational corporations and their activities which have have a negative downturn on individuals in society. Some of the people who support those multinational corps and banks through purchasing their goods and services or being patrons to them are the very same who remain invisible within them at any level where they might be able to make a difference within their local communities if they so chose to do. The world is shrinking I think a famous analist said it’s like manopoly those who accumulate the most money leave those who have the least money at the bottom of the pile. Winners do anything and every thing to protect their positions supported by the state and its laws while the poor remain so at the bottom often unconscious of the avenues available to them in order to make a difference to their lives – education.and knowledge cannot be taken away form the individual it seems some people have a lack in will to engage fully within our consumerist society that feeds into the unconscious state of being. Being unconcious of what is actually going on around you ultimately benefits the rich and powerful who are able to extend their will with support of the media, television, radio, judiciary and law that dulls down, disinsentivates and drip feeds unconscious minds with meaningless messages that precitates this unconsciousness amoung certain groups within society. Whats happens when these people wake up to the manipulated reality of their state of being is riots. We can draw on the example of the French Revolution – or am I to be regarded as delusional?
