S4C Crock of Gold
2013 CHAMPIONSHIP RULES AND REGULATIONS
• On Saturday July 20 2013 heats and final of the S4C Crock of Gold will be held at Tir Prince
• The Championship will be open to ALL open horses recognised by the BHRC.
• There will be a maximum of three heats with a maximum of 12 in each heat, the first two in each heat and the fastest two losers will qualify ( if there are only two heats then the first three will qualify together with the two fastest losers). Every effort will be made to keep multiple entries from trainers/owners apart in the heats but no guarantee can be given. If more than 36 horses apply for places then the top rated 36 horses will be chosen, the final discretion for qualification will rest with Tir Prince’s race framer.
• All horses wishing to enter must do so in writing by 5pm on Friday 21st June stating the name of the horse, owner and trainer together with a cheque for £50 payable to Tir Prince Raceway Limited. If a deadline extension is granted then this will be be shown on the Tir Prince and BHRC website and will be granted for a minimum of 7 days. Tir Prince has the right to refuse an entry from an owner or trainer if they owe unpaid entry monies, are suspended or banned or have broken any track rules. If this is the case any entry monies paid will be refunded, otherwise no refunds will be given. Tir Prince will issue a list of all horses cleared to run in the heats as soon as practicable and at the latest within 14 days of the qualifying deadline. The list will be posted on the Tir Prince and BHRC websites. These horses will need to confirm that they will run on Saturday 20th July by 5pm Thursday 11th July when a final payment of £50 will be due (this can be paid on the 20th July).
• All Crock of Gold Heats & the Championship Final will be run as a Free for All over a distance of one mile with draw for position being made on the night.
• HEATS Total Prize Money for the heats will be £800 and will be allocated as follows;
1st – £500)
2nd – £200
3rd – £100
Entry Fee £50
• FINAL Total Prize Money for the final will be £5000 but in accordance with BHRC Handicapping guidelines prize fund will be allocated as follows;
1st - £3500,
2nd - £750,
3rd -£500, 4th - £250
No additional entry fee for the Championship Race Final.
• BHRC and Track rules will apply and in all cases the decision of the Chairman of the Stewards at the track will be final. I
