Llanelli have their work cut out if they are to progress in the Europa League after being held 2-2 at home to FK Tauras on Thursday night.
The Reds, who also had Chris Holloway sent offin the dying minutes, twice came back from being a goal down and may well rue a missed penalty at Stebonheath Park.
The visitors went ahead after just nine minutes as Marius Kizys scored from a Neriyus Maciulis corner, but Wyn Thomas equalised for the Reds eight minutes later, latching on to a Chris Llewellyn corner.
But the visitors were ahead again within four minutes, as Kizys bagged his second of the night.
Llanelli had a golden opportunity to level the scores from the spot following a hasty challenge by Linas Savastas but Jordan Follows’ effort was easily saved.
However, and with Andy Legg’s half time team talk ringing in their ears, the Reds drew level for a second time thanks to a goal from captain Stuart Jones.
Despite the introduction of five-times Welsh Premier League leading scorer, Rhys Griffiths, who missed the pre-match preparations as he was away on his honeymoon, Llanelli couldn’t find another goal.
And the home side’s evening suffered a further blow as Chris Holloway was shown a red card for a reckless challenge in the final minute.
