The New Saints have been given a tough draw in the Champions League after the Oswestry side were drawn to face Swedish treble winners, Helsingborgs IF.
The Swedish champions were amongst the top seeded clubs as the draw was made in Nyon, Switzerland on Monday.
And having secured an unprecedented domestic treble last season, Helsingborgs will be firm favourites to win the tie.
The first leg will be played at Park Hall, Oswestry on 17/18 July with the second leg in Sweden on 24/25 July.
This won’t be the Saints’ first game against Swedish opponents having lost 1-4 over two legs against Östers in the 2004 Uefa Cup.
On this day in 1966 one of the all-time greats of Welsh football played his last international match.
