John Hartson and Dylan Ebenezer have been discussing the stories and rumours surrounding the football world for this week’s Sgorio+.
The story which has caught John’s eye is the continuing rumours surrounding Swansea City manager Brendan Rogers’ future and the lure of a “big” club.
“I wouldn’t be shocked, nothing shocks me any more with football,” said Hartson.
“Brendan Rogers is a great young manager, one of the best that’s out there, so it wouldn’t be a shock if he left.
“But I’ve spoken to Brendan and he likes the city, he likes the supporters and he’s very active in the community.
“If you’re happy it means a lot more than money and moving up the ladder,” he added. “All that will come in the future because he’s a talented manager.”
“I don’t believe he’s going anywhere in the summer, I can see him staying at the Liberty and spending money bringing in star or two.”
And looking forward to the Welsh Premier League title decider between The New Saints and Bangor City, Hartson was full of praise for Bangor manager, Neville Powell.
“You have to praise Neville Powell,” said the former Wales striker “(Bangor) were on a pretty poor run of form a few weeks back but they’ve really bounced back.”
“We’re always taling about the tremendous team spirit they have at bangor, they keep going ’til the very last minute.
“They’ve shown this last week that they can go away from home and beat a good team in Neath, and they’ll have that in the back of their minds when they go to The Saints.”
“To win the championship for the second successive season would be something special.”
