Describe yourself: Her husband describes her as laid back but manic, perfectionist, enthusiastic

Additional Information: Elin works with autistic children and children with learning difficulties.

She also has four children of her own and doesn't have much free time between work and family.

She enjoys folk dancing, opera, reading and cooking when she gets the chance.

Elin is fond of cooking wacky cakes for friends and her children as well as trying new foods.

Her favourite recipe depends on her current interests but she loves all to do with Christmas dinner - the menu, the shopping and the preparatio.

Elin is looking forward to developing her cooking skills in a way other than watching the television, internet, magazines or her mum.

After some masterclasses the twelve had a bit of a shock - a challenge to create Sea bass with a salsa.

Elin was successful and a step closer to Tigh Dudley!

After some wine tasting with Arwel Owen from Gwinology it was time for the big challenge - cook their signiature dish.

Elin prepared Lamb steaks with grandpa's relish.

A perfect wine to accompany this dish would be Ribero Del Duero from Spain .

The challenge was to create a dish with ingredients within fifty miles from Kinsale.

Duck, champ or colcannon and a sauce of their own choice.

Under the watchful eyes of Carole Norman and Leona Robinson from the Crackpots unfortunatley Elin was not successful and her journey once again was over.
