S4C held a consultation day with independent television producers in Llandrindod Wells on Sunday 6 March.
The aim of the event was to share the Channel's proposals for broadcasting post 2012. The programme for the day also enabled independent to offer views and ideas to the Channel.

S4C presented different models for future broadcasting.
At S4C's meeting with production companies in Llandrindod Wells on Sunday 6 March, the Channel was asked what research had been used as the basis for the Channel's proposed different broadcasting models from 2012 onwards. The attached documents provide guidance about the source of the research and how the information is being used by S4C. The document also includes the Authority's definition of a public service broadcaster's purpose and characteristics. These fundamental principles were also an integral part of the work done in preparing the options.
